Trilogy #3 at Miami Marine Stadium
Due to emergency construction on the Bear Cut Bridge connecting Key
Biscayne to Virginia Key, Trilogy #3 had to be moved to Miami Marine
Stadium. There are many differences from the normal trilogy events.
The information below supercedes the rest of this website regarding this
individual race.

Directions:
From the North - I-95 south, exit #1 (Rickenbacker Causeway),
head east towards Key Biscayne on the Rickenbacker Causeway. Marine
Stadium will be on your left just after you reach the bottom of the bridge.
From the South - Travel north on US1 (S Dixie Highway) to the
Rickenbacker Causeway entrance. Head east towards Key Biscayne on the
Rickenbacker Causeway. Marine Stadium will be on your left just after you
reach the bottom of the bridge.

Schedule:
5:30 - 6:30 a.m. - Race Day Packet Pickup (6:30 a.m. is a HARD CUTOFF
time in order for the race to start on time)
6:45 a.m. - Transition Closes (you must have your stuff set up and be out
of transition by this time)
7:00 a.m. - Race Starts (see wave schedule below)
9:30 a.m. - Awards Ceremony Begins

1⁄4 mile swim - SEE MAP

The swim is rectangular, going out 500 feet, across 320 feet, then returning
500 feet. It is a spectacular swim with the city of Miami as the scenic
backdrop.
8 Mile Bike -

Cyclists will take a right turn out of the Marine Stadium west onto
the Rickenbacker Causeway up and over the Powell bridge. Once at the
bottom, participants will make a u-turn and do it again! After that,
you will continue down the causway, making a left turn down Virginia
key. A u-turn is made at the end of Virginia key, then a right turn back
onto the causeway, then finally a right turn back into the Marine
Stadium. This course is the favorite training ground of all local
triathletes. Be ready to awe at the magnificence of Biscayne Bay as you ride
through the causeway. All bike traffic will stay on the outbound lane of the
causeway which will be closed to vehicular traffic. Vehicular traffic
will be diverted to the inbound lane.
3.25 mile Run -

Athletes will run out and back along the very scenic and newly paved
path that runs along the edge of the water with breathtaking Miami skyline
views the entire way. Participants will u-turn at the 1.65 mile mark and
pass the waterstation at mile 1 on the way out and mile 2 on the way back.
